What happens to your scrap metal?

At KCM when we receive your scrap metal, we make arrangements for it to be melted down. The molten metal is then poured into moulds to create ingots, which are a small bar or brick of solid metal. These ingots are sold to other companies who will put them to use on their production lines.

Once the metal ingots have been sent out to the manufacturer, they will be re-melted and turned into whatever product the company produces. This could be anything from cds to wires, metal trays or aeroplane parts!
