KCM Waste Management and Fawkes Waste went toe-to-toe on Friday, 9th May, in the Battle Of The Waste Companies charity football match at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
It was a fantastic game, which saw special guest, Lil Charva, perform a half-time show, and the result ended with KCM winning 9-4.
Thanks to donations from tickets, sponsors, raffles and auctions, we were able to raise over £10,000 to help Sophie White.
Sophie was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour at the age of 21, and despite undergoing major brain surgery, which successfully removed 95% of her tumour, she was later diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma, with a one-year life expectancy.
Our fundraising efforts will help Sophie receive life-prolonging immunotherapy in Germany so she can be present to watch her son grow and learn.
