Greasbrough Remembers 2026: Join Us for a Day of Remembrance and Community Support

Greasbrough’s Remembrance event returns on Sunday 8 November 2026, proudly supported by KCM Waste Management Ltd, bringing our community together to honour those who served and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Last year, almost 2,000 people attended, showing the strength of support for remembrance across Greasbrough and the surrounding areas. This year, we’re inviting residents, families, veterans and local businesses to join us once again.

Alongside paying our respects, we will be raising money for Help 4 Homeless Veterans, supporting veterans facing homelessness.

The Programme

Please arrive at 9:45am, ahead of the morning’s proceedings:

• 10:00am – Church service
• 10:40am – Veterans’ march
• 11:00am – Remembrance service

All veterans are warmly invited to join the march. Whether you have attended before or would be joining us for the first time, it would be an honour to welcome you.

Scott Brunt and Cllr Rob Elliott have announced this year’s event in our accompanying video, inviting the community to come together for this important occasion.

Join Us Afterwards at Greasbrough Club

Following the Remembrance service, everyone is welcome to join us at Greasbrough Club.

There will be a live performance by The Daisy Belles and a free hog roast, giving everyone an opportunity to spend time together following the morning’s tribute.

Church Street Road Closure

Please plan your journey ahead of the event. Church Street, Greasbrough, will be closed from 9:00am until 12:00pm on Sunday 8 November.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of residents and motorists while the event takes place.

Sponsor a Remembrance Poppy for £100

We’re inviting businesses across Greasbrough, Rotherham and the surrounding areas to sponsor a remembrance poppy for £100.00.

Each sponsored poppy will form part of a special community tribute displayed at the event, bringing local businesses together in a shared act of gratitude and remembrance while supporting our fundraising for Help 4 Homeless Veterans.

Your sponsorship package includes:

• A personalised remembrance poppy featuring your business name, displayed at the event.
• A digital certificate of appreciation recognising your contribution.
• A Proud Supporter graphic to share on your website, social media or email signature.
• Social media recognition from KCM Waste Management, thanking your business for its support.
• A photograph of your sponsored poppy at the event, suitable for sharing with employees and customers.
• The opportunity to keep your poppy afterwards, subject to the final display arrangements.

You can also choose to dedicate their poppy in memory of a loved one or in honour of those who served.

To find out more about sponsorship or arrange your sponsored poppy, please email ellie@kcmwaste.com.

Signature Branding has very kindly covered all costs of printing, with KCM covering the costs of the poppies, meaning every penny we receive from these poppies go directly to the charity.

A Community Coming Together

With almost 2,000 people joining us last year, we hope to see another strong turnout as Greasbrough comes together in remembrance.

Whether you attend the services, take part in the veterans’ march, sponsor a poppy or help spread the word, your support will help us honour those who served and make a difference to veterans who need support today.

Sunday 8 November 2026. Arrive at 9:45am. Everyone welcome.

Lest we forget.
