If your skip is being delivered on a public road or any land that is not privately owned, a council permit is required. KCM will take care of this process for you and ensure your permit is ready to go as soon as your skip is delivered.
What Can I Put In A Skip?
Due to the way in which certain items are recycled and disposed of, not everything can be placed in your normal skip! We can accept all of the following:

- Soil, bricks and rubble (builders waste)
- Construction and DIY waste

What Size Skips Can I Hire?
We offer an extremely wide variety of skip and roll on off sizes. We can even make them to order at our very own on-site weld shop. If your site needs something more specific, just let us know!
It is essential that you choose the right skip size to suit the amount of waste your project will create, and at KCM our dedicated customer service team can talk you through size guidance when it comes to matching our skips with your project.
Our standard skip sizes are:
- 3 tonne – our smallest skip, perfect for small clear outs or doing up your garden. 25-35 bin bags.
- 4 tonne – one of our most popular orders, a 4 tonne is also great for smaller home projects such as removing a bathroom suite or clearing out a garage. 30-40 bin bags.
- 6 tonne – will comfortably fit a slightly larger amount of waste, ideal for larger home projects and garden renovations. 50-60 bin bags.
- 8 tonne – an 8 tonne is a builder’s skip, this is most commonly used for builders rubble, bricks and soil. 60-80 bin bags.
- 12/14/16 yard – our largest standard skip size, suited for larger garden renovations and projects such as shop fit outs. (12) 100-120 bin bags, (14) 120-140 bin bags, (16) 140-160 bin bags.
We then offer a range of roll on roll off skips for bulky waste and very large amounts!
Roll on roll offs are best suited to industrial or commercial waste removal projects, they are heavy-duty skip bins and can hold up to 440 bin bags.
